We know because we’ve encountered this “delay” of information ourselves.
Quite frankly, it is your dealerships’ duty to be on top of these types of recalls but sometimes you just need to do the leg work yourself. Since we consider this a very serious defect, it’s definitely worth pursuing it.
Intermittent Coolant Weepage From Upper Radiator Hose Or Radiator
This TSB (technical service bulletin) covers a defect found with either the upper radiator hose or radiator itself. In most cases owners report a slow and intermittent leakage of coolant and both their entire radiator assembly and upper radiator hose are replaced. The radiator hose is obviously just inspected visually by the technician however the crimp flange on the radiator assembly is inspected with a fork-like inspection tool. If at any point it does not completely pass clear over the crimp flange, the radiator assembly requires replacement.

This bulletin applies to the following vehicles built on or after August 15,
2014 (MDH 0815XX) and on or before March 07, 2015 (MDH 0307XX):
• LA equipped with a 6.2L engine (sales code ESD).
• LA equipped with a 6.4L engine (sales codes ESG and ESH).
• LD equipped with a 6.4L engine (sales code ESG and ESH).
• LD equipped with a 6.2L engine (sales code ESD).
• LX equipped with a 6.4L engine (sales code ESG).
